AAR is always looking for new ways or new partnerships with whom we may share the mission of blessing “the least of these,” and the disenfranchized in our society. The Holy Order of St. Nicholas of Myra for the Pacific NW of the USA is one such group. The Holy Order of St. Nicholas for the PAC NW USA is an order of Friars and Monks who seek to follow the example of St. Nicholas of ministering to the “least of these” and the fringe members of society in the Pacific NW.

It is pandemic and affects young people especially between the ages of (perhaps) 16 and 24. It is typically a church girl that finds a heathen dude she wants to date, but she’s got to run him through the “drag him to church” thing first so that mommy and daddy will think that he is “okay” and “this one checks out”–all because he followed our daughter to church. So what happens (hillarious) when the guy really truly gets into the church scene and the girl just wants to…ummm…let’s say: mess his hair up? A hillarious comedy of errors. So I turned the idea into a song today. Silly, retro, and I dunno…fairly inane. but fun.

AAR & Snow Globe Studio

They’re joining together to produce an American made, though totally French film entitled Bonhomme de Neige (snowman). Theo Obrastoff’s script was originally intended for a simple short film. It has, however, evolved into a multi-media story telling event, including new songs from Obrastoff, recorded en Francias. The film is in production with no specific release date set, although it wouldn’t be out of bounds to estimate a release date of November 2012. Enjoy listening to a number of tunes from the film.

THE ANDY’S ANGELS PRESENCE

There’s no denying it that the legacy of Andy Obrastoff, of his family, and of the multitude of artists who became friends in order to honor the boy–it is a presence throughout the internet world and elsewhere and isn’t going anywhere. I came to a point where I wasn’t getting much email, sales of the tributes were pretty near non-existent, and I was just getting a lot spam. But as I traveled (the little bit I do) I would run into people still singing a song of thanksgiving for what Andy’s story meant to them. Besides that, there is still, to this day, Camp CAACONAA in southern California, hosted by the Church at Rocky Peak http://campcaaconaa.blogspot.com/. And then I was surfing Google for the Giggles of it and found posts by people looking for the book and the albums. This blew me away. 2010 was a dark year for me and many people. But I feel led back to certain roots, including AAR and 2011 is lookin’ like a freakin’ PARTY!!!

January 14th will hopefully begin the first of many (times TBA) ANDY’S ANGELS RADIO SHOWS. Already there are a number of great interviews lined up from people you surely know. If a few of them sound new to you, just check the credits of any AAR album. They may be viewed at this site or viewed at the official AAR Stickam Site.

This AAR site will also host a weekly internet church that I understand has become important to many who are house bound (as I’ve been recently), or work strange hours or whatever the case. THE MASS will hopefully begin live podcasts beginning January 13 (time TBA).

There is also a creative flame within me thirsting for a new project; something along the lines of CAACONAA III “RECESS,” as well as a new west coast summer time tour of what used to be the Andy’s Angels Christmas Show.

I don’t know what 2011 holds for us all, but this is very exciting. As a number of dear friends and colleagues have noted “Theo, I’m glad because I’ve always felt that AAR had unfinished business.” So live well; love well. If you’re a millionaire, heck!
